CONVERSATIONS IN BARCHESSA

Saturday 8 September 2018 we hosted a conference held by Dr. Nadir Stringa on the history of the School of Art of Nove, which arose following a legacy of the famous sculptures Giuseppe De Fabris (Nove 19 August 1790 - Rome 22 August 1860) in order to give life to a structure to educate the young people of his native country in the art of ceramics.

Thanks to the interest of Pasquale Antonibon, the school was born in 1875, fifteen years after the sculptor's death.

In his report, exhaustive and brilliant, Dott.Stringa told the history of the school, listing the purposes for which it was founded and the various directors who have succeeded since 1875 to today, focusing on the most significant figures and reviewing the events that they brought the school to its current high educational function to the rank of "Artistic High School".

The report was followed by some interventions by teachers who related their personal experiences.
