Crackling Engines

A weekend of engines, history, and encounters.
They arrived one after another, ready to tell their stories: vintage cars from the late 19th and early 20th centuries, each with its own past, a crackling engine, and a rare kind of courage.
A 170 km journey for this Vintage Car Endurance Trial of Bassano: a challenge of passion and dedication.
Those who cherish these cars preserve a heritage, recount an era, and continue to inspire people and places. Behind every polished bodywork lies a world made of mechanics, companions, staff, police, friends along the way. And at the wheel, a priceless culture built on passion and care.
We walked together, opened the doors of our manufactory, and shared the story of our ceramics. Stories naturally intertwined with empathy.
A special stop: souvenir photos in the barchessa, right beneath the drawings of Pompeo Pianezzola, who seventy-five years ago portrayed the history of wheels and ancient journeys.
Our thanks go to Dr. Umberto Voltolin, to the Circolo Veneto Automoto d’Epoca of Bassano, to those who chose to stop here, to those who drove, to those who safeguarded these marvels along the road. Thanks to all the cars that allowed themselves to be photographed from every angle, and to the splendid Peugeot Type 3 of 1892, the very first car to circulate in Italy, now returned to Veneto where it took its first steps 122 years ago.
The joy of seeing them arrive, the melancholy of watching them leave. And the certainty that beautiful stories always find their way back.
